FAQs
What types of businesses do you work with?
We focus on UK-based, founder-led businesses with £1M-£10M enterprise value across sectors like recruitment, B2B services, digital agencies, IT, SaaS and professional services.
Do you publically list the businesses your selling?
No. All of our deals are handled privately and off-market. We believe that discretion protects both the seller’s business and the buyer’s opportunity.
How is my business valued?
We use a multiple of EBITDA (profit) adjusted for your sector, size, and deal readiness. Our free valuation guide explains this in plain terms, or we can walk you through it on a confidential call.
How long does it take to sell a business?
Typical deals in the sub-£10M space take 3–5 months from first meeting to completion. We move quickly but never rush — getting the right fit is more important than speed alone.
What kind of buyers do you work with?
We work with serious acquirers only: search funds, solo operators, private equity-backed groups, and family offices. All are vetted before introductions are made.
What does it cost to sell through LTJ Partners?
We offer simple, transparent pricing. Typically, we charge a modest retainer and a success-based fee only when your deal completes. No hidden costs, no hourly rates.
Do I have to commit to selling before we speak?
Absolutely not. Many founders come to us simply looking to understand their options. We’re happy to offer guidance — even years before you’re ready to exit.
What if I don’t have clean financials?
You’re not alone. We can help clean and normalise your numbers for valuation purposes. As long as your business is profitable and stable, we can usually work with you.
What makes LTJ Partners different from other M&A firms?
We operate exclusively in the sub-£10M space — where we believe relationships, simplicity, and hands-on support matter most. We’re commercial, discreet, and focused on deals that close.
